Not a bad start.

I've seen plenty of flashes like this before, and I still don't mind checking them out, for quality purposes.

Lots of room for improvement, though you probably already know that, but what I'm really concerned about is the immense file size.

Try to crush it down to something more reasonable lol.

ABCreature responds:

I had to make the intro, cuz if not, this movie have no point!

I havn't done a review in a long time...

But I figured you might want some advice on how to improve it.

Well 1st off, when people are talking, it's better to do it word by word, rather than by letter. People don't read like they're sounding out the words. =/
Try to use different moves and flash effects, and remember that as long as the animation is smooth and easy to follow, faster is better, unless you're using dramatic effects that need to be better focused on. Sound was fine. And using more than 1 setting is always a plus. Probably the thing that bugged the most was the speed of the movie, and how slow the people were talking. Good luck though. ^.^

rigo01 responds:

thanks for your Review now that im seeing what i didnt do to well i see how i can improve, ok so its either word by word or voice clips ^_^
thank you and ill be sure to make it even better next time!

Pretty funny

Made me laugh a couple times and was pretty creative... But dang... People these days aren't too smart anymore are they? (*cough *cough, guy below me, *cough *cough)

XxwaSSupxX responds:

Haha...
thats all i can say... haha

Wow, amazing work

Really really good job. You've gone past what i thought was possible in flash, it's been nearly a year since i've reviewed or submitted an entry because flash 8 has been giving me extreme problems, and right when I feel like I have enough motive to start again, i go onto newgrounds and see this.

I took an animation class last semester and i can do so much more than before, but you amazed me. Did you draw a lot of those scenes? Or perhaps have a Graphics Tablet? I find it hard to draw like that in flash, it's just such a pain.

Also was the invisible/slicing tentecles done with actionscript or something else? Any helpful hints would be much appreciated, since i'm starting up again.

Again Great Movie

Get-lost responds:

It can be hard to draw free in Flash with only a mouse. I do own a graphics tablet and I use it mainly for hair or fullbody characters, but also for backgrounds sometimes. Using the line and arrow tool with a mouse is pretty easy though, so I do that alot :)

The invisible arms were made by using masks. Basiclly you have two backgrounds, and decide to show one of them with the arm as a mask.

Thanks for the review

Nice job but...

This one wasn't as funny as the others. I know i can't expect them all to just get more hilarious, one after another, but ahhh owell.

Cool stuff, and unlike the guy below me, i kind've like Baka-san the way he is.
Kind've like an enigma.

Watever man, keep drawing, keep using swift, and keep on bringin' the goodness.

PEACE OUT!

El-Cid responds:

Yeah, I agree. I'm really pushing to making a nice round set of these shorts, so I'm balancing the fine line between quality and quantity.

Man, you've got to learn to compress your files

instead of exporting it with Ctrl + Enter. Go to file, then export, and change the export settings from there. Sound is almost always the thing that takes up the most size. So take it off the mp3 standard setting, and lower it, then checkmark the "Override sound settings" Box. Trust me man, it'll help.

Stryden-Kamal responds:

thats what i did. and it was still just below 5 mb

That was sooo damn funny.

At first i was gonna be like, awww i don't need to leave a review, but just then, the guy was like, "My backpack glows... when i'm horny" and i just started laughing my ass off and rolling on the floor like rofl literally, but yea,

thanx man =D.

And very good length on the episode, but i really expect better graphics on the next episode man, all of the graphics on all your episodes looks pretty much the same and aren't showing much improvement. It looks like someone took a sloppy paintbrush to the comp screen. but good luck next time!!!

Sirschmoopy responds:

Watch episode one and then this episode. This episode marks my one month aniversity using flash.

If I was to overall the graphics, it would be less funny. Do not expect 10 min episodes either because making an episodes like this every week by myself is almost a full time job.

Glad you enjoyed it though.

That was tight...

At first i was thinking, "Oh this is one of those flashes where there's like 3 scenes of mario dieing in weird ways, and then it'll be over" Man i was wrong.
The first death made me start thinking this flash was made by some guy who didn't feel like effort was worth having a better flash, but as it went on it kept getting better.

The absolute best one was the Tom and Wade Fulp one. OMG man, i couldn't stop laughing my ass off when Tom gave Wade the spasmatic thumbs up to the beam of ultimate death and hurt.
Good stuff. =D

UberAoC responds:

The beginning seems to elude to a quickly slapped together flash, but even as I worked on this, I got better and better. Then I took a break to work on a few other things, came back to this, and was able to do the FulpBot scene and the awesome ending!

I'm glad that you viewed the ENTIRE cartoon before leaving a review! Better than what a very limited amount of people have done!

Thanks for liking the cartoon and leaving an excellent review!
